[Sake Matsuri Masterclass] Regionality of Japanese Sake by Adrian Goh

[Sake Matsuri Masterclass] Regionality of Japanese Sake by Adrian Goh

A geographical indication (GI) refers to an indication used in trade to identify a product that originates from a particular territory, which has given the product its special quality or reputation. A good example of GI is Champagne Wine and/or Deejarling Tea.

GI for Japanese Sake only started in 2015, and there are currently 13 GIs, including one for Japanese Sake itself. 9 GIs were awarded in the last 3 years. As the system grows, differences between Sake from different regions will become more visible.

In this masterclass, Sake Educator Adrian Goh will lead participants through the core differences of Japanese sake from 12 different regions.
